Hallo und herzlich Willkommen bei
Hi, I'm Sarah ...
... I'm 33 years old, a passionate crocheter and yarn lover.
After completing all the 1000-pieces jigsaw-puzzles during a stay in a psychiatrical ward in the second half
of 2020, I urgently needed to find a new, fulfilling and calming
activity.
That's when my great passion for crocheting was born.
How it all began...
I started out with very simple scarves and lots of small, circular bags.
In May 2021, after having been discharged from the hospital, I started my first major project: my first crochet blanket based on a pattern by Lucy (Attic 24), a British crochet designer and blogger.
... as the saying goes. With each crochet project I got to know and love new types of stitches and expanded my skills and repertoire little by little.
I have been back in my hometown since mid-2021 and of course I didn't leave my passion for crocheting behind when I moved back to Hanover. Crocheting has become my favorite form of expression, alongside music and writing. It helps me switch off my very active mind and relax a bit, yet it never gets boring. This could also be because I usually have 5-10 different projects as work in progress...
What happened next?
In autumn 2023, after having gifted my crocheted works to all kinds of family members and friends - whether they wanted to have them or not - I decided to turn my hobby into a side hussle and registered a small business.

A rainbow...
...doesn't just add color to the gray moments in life. For me as a queer woman, the rainbow as a symbol takes up a special place in my life and heart and of course also in crocheting. I started including the rainbow in my crochet projects by making rainbow-colored wrist warmers. Later, I also added rainbow themed bags and keychains to the colorful mix.
In spring 2024, I made a series of heart keychains in the colors of the various Pride flags for our local pride parade. They have been an integral part of my crochet repertoire ever since.
